11+ Classes

At 11+, I offer classes for children from Year 3 up to Year 6 to help train children for the Kent, Bexley, St. Olaves, Newstead Wood and many private school 11+ tests. This includes a mixture of lessons on Maths, Comprehension (Long and Short), Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and Creative Writing.

Year 4 11+ Tutoring Classes (Maths, Verbal, Non-Verbal, English)

Operating using Year 5 texts and worksheets, we will be covering the higher level topics in class and helping students with any topics they find difficult. Emphasis on building speed, confidence and accuracy. A book list is given for the students to work through at home at their own pace. Classes are face-to-face and held on site, with a maximum class size of 10.

Year 5 11+ Tutoring Classes (Maths, Verbal, Non-Verbal, English)

Operating using Year 5 texts and worksheets, we will be covering the higher level topics in class and helping students with any topics they find difficult. Emphasis will continue to be on building speed, confidence and accuracy, as well as examination technique. A book list is given for the students to work through at home at their own pace. Classes are face-to-face and held on site, with a maximum class size of 10.

Creative Writing (10 Week Short Course)

A 10 week long course, which has the aim to spend time helping children to produce a suitable piece of creative writing in the given time (around 30 mins) for the Kent 11+/St Olave’s/Independent school tests. It will also help with expansion of vocabulary and multiple-choice 11+ comprehension.

Long Comprehension and Poetry Appreciation (10 Week Short Course)

A 10 week long course, which has the aim to provide support for long comprehension and poetry appreciation for the Kent 11+/St Olaves’s/Independent school tests. It will also help with expansion of vocabulary and multiple-choice 11+ comprehension.
